Emil Hoppe

Hoppe, Emil, b. Vienna, April 2, 1876, d. Salzburg, Aug. 14, 1957, architect.

Student and assistant to Otto Wagner, 1909-1918 joint practice with Marcel Kammerer and Otto Schönthal , after Kammerer left, H. and Schönthal ran the practice until H. was forced into exile in 1938. Elaborated on the tradition of Wagner, esp. in the Krieau trotting course in Vienna (1911-1913, 1918).
